Gadelle


Gadelle is a four member, all woman, traditional French-Acadian band that includes former internationally acclaimed Barachois members, Helene Bergeron and Louise Arsenault. Gadelle is an old Acadian word which translates as "wild berries" and also has a connotation of a feisty female.
 

POGEY

Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Nudibranch recording artists POGEY combine original Celtic/Rock tunes with stellar instrumentals. The group performs with genuine spontaneous and spectacular energy. They have the audience the minute they hit the stage

 

Screaming Orphans

We're a pop-rock band and are four fun, high-spirited, musically-obsessed sisters from Ireland.

Our sound has been compared to the Bangles and the Cranberries and our musical influences range from the Beatles, R.E.M., Indigo Girls, Abba, to traditional Irish music.

Gaelic Storm

It has now been more than a decade since Gaelic Storm's career lifted off with their appearance in the blockbuster film Titanic. Since their big-screen debut 10 years ago, the band's fan base continues to multiply with each new album, turning the one-time-pub-band into one of the premier touring acts in the Celtic/World music genre. Musically, Gaelic Storm's compelling originals and fresh arrangements steeped in Celtic traditional melody combined with their unique blend of world rhythms continue to broaden the musical horizons of the Celtic music genre creating new standards for generations to come.

Cahal Dunne, "Ireland's Happy Man", possesses that certain magical quality known in show business as "it." "It" transcends talent. "It" comes from deep within a great entertainer and washes over an audience, captivating them. This native of County Cork has a following of loyal admirers and friends that is unique in the rich history of Pittsburgh entertainment, and continues to make new friends with each appearance.

Hooley is a collection of Pittsburgh’s finest traditional Irish musicians and dancers who perform at concert halls, festivals, colleges and high schools, clubs and pubs, dances, receptions, and weddings throughout western Pennsylvania and the Ohio valley

 

Michael Murphy and the Shannon River Band

 

Michael Murphy and The Shannon River Band offers a heartfelt display of their Celtic roots, blended with leading-edge elements of bluegrass, rock and contemporary styles. Their training, athletic energy and years of live performance experience mix to create an inspired and up-to-the minute show that truly connects with a broad spectrum of audiences. Both old and young, traditional and modern can't resist this rhythm-infused approach to traditional Celtic music.

 

 

 

 

Terry Griffith

Terry has been performing Irish ballads in local Irish pubs as well as performances at Irish festivals and fundraisers all over the U.S. for the last 20 years and has been a working musician for the last 35 years.

His music reflects his Irish heritage and appeals to the Irish-Americans who look beyond the stereotypical to the true essence of being Irish.

Mike Gallagher

Known primarily for performing Irish and Scottish folk, native Pittsburgher Mike Gallagher has been a constant musical presence throughout the tri-state area.  Mike also specializes in contemporary acoustic music and performs a number of original selections, backing his clear tenor voice with sensitivity and versatility on the 12-string guitar.

 

 

Red Hand Paddy

Red Hand Paddy was formed in 1994 by a group of local Irish musicians who wanted to bring a more modern sound to the traditional music typically offered on the pub scene. The original lineup included Brian Corr on vocals and acoustic guitar; his brother Jim Corr on vocals, fiddle, and banjo; Dan Macel on vocals and keyboards; Mike Hegarty on vocals and drums; Patrick Connelly on vocals; and Dan Sweeny on vocals and electric guitar. Bassist Stan Brusoski joined shortly after the band's inception
