Know before you go:
- There is some construction in the Festival area. Click here to see if this will impact your drive and to see the detour!
- Bag Policy
- Purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, and computers are prohibited. Exceptions will be made for diaper bags and medically necessary bags.
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar are permitted).
- Small clutch bags or small purse, approximately the size of a hand 4.5” x 6.5”, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the festival with one of the clear plastic bag options.
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.
- Diaper bags are allowed but will be inspected and tagged.
- Dogs
- Only preregistered Irish dogs and certified service animals are permitted on the Festival grounds.

- Entertainment Schedule
- Parking – Golf cart parking lot shuttles will be available.

- Accessible parking is available at the Festival main entrance.
- Drop-off and loading zone available at main entrance.
- The Grounds
- Carrie Furnace is an historic and raw space. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes as some areas of the grounds are uneven.
- Security – The safety and security of our guests is paramount to the Irish Festival. Please carefully review the following security measures and restrictions so that your visit to the Pittsburgh Irish Festival can be a most enjoyable experience:
- Individuals visiting the Festival will be subject to personal belongings, bags (see above bag policy), and purse checks.
- Open bottles of water and soda are not permitted to be brought into the Festival. Guests are permitted to bring in one unopened factory bottle of water per person.
- Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted to leave the festival grounds and must be thrown away or finished prior to leaving the festival. The Pittsburgh Irish Festival reserves the right to check bottles and cups leaving the grounds.
- Outside alcohol will not be permitted to be brought into the Festival. The Festival will be serving alcohol.
- No apparel or signage displaying profane or abusive language is permitted.
- No drones or unmanned aircraft systems.
- No bicycles are permitted within the festival footprint. Bike parking is available at the festival entrance.
- No firearms, weapons, explosives, fireworks or any other item deemed dangerous or inappropriate will be permitted at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival, regardless of permit statuts. All prohibited items must be disposed or returned to vehicles. Security will not hold any item. Pittsburgh Irish Festival and security is not responsible for any item left at the gates.
- No coolers, cans, bottles, non-factory sealed water bottles, food, and glass are allowed into the Festival grounds. Exception: special food related to a health or medical condition, and food for feeding a baby must be contained in plastic containers. Small coolers no larger than 5 quarts will be permitted to utilize for baby food/formula and medicine. All items are subject to search at the entrance gate.
- Vehicles that are illegally parked will be towed at the owner’s expense.
