EVERYONE is welcome at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival! Read on to see how we’re making your visit more comfortable:
- Walk-ability
- Carrie Furnace is an historic and raw space. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes as some areas of the grounds are uneven.
- Parking Lot Shuttle
- The venue has accessible parking right near the main entrance. We also have a golf cart shuttle available in the parking lots.
- Scooter Rentals
- There will no longer be on-site mobility scooter rentals at the Festival but you can reserve a scooter in advance from Mobility Plus here and they will make arrangements to drop the scooter off to you at the Festival entrance. You can also reach them at: pittsburgh@mobilityplus.com or (412) 426-9144
- Sensory Bags
- The Festival will have sensory bags from Kulture City available at the front gate for use during the event. The sensory bags are designed to help sensory needs in both adults and children. They are filled with items like headphones and fidgets that can help lessen sensory overload and create engagement. Rentals of these bags during your visit are free of charge but we will keep a credit card on file and charge only if the bag is not returned at the end of your visit. These bags are available free of charge thanks to a grant from the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council.
